Established in 1985, the A.B Shetty Memorial Institute of Dental Sciences, is duly recognized by the Dental Council of India for the Undergraduate and Post Graduate courses it offers. It also has the privilege of being recognized by the Malaysian Dental Council and is an affiliate of Okayama University Dental School Japan and Academic Mentor to Oman Dental College, Muscat, Sultanate of Oman. In association with the Smile Train Organization, USA and Cleft Children International, Switzerland, the College has the unique distinction of being at the forefront of treatment and Research in Clefts and Craniofacial Anomalies in the Country.
A B Shetty Memorial Institute of Dental Sciences, also known as ABSMIDS Mangalore, is one of the best dental institutes in India established in Mangalore, Karnataka. The institute is accredited with a Grade ‘A+’ by NAAC. It is recognized by the Dental Council of India (DCI) and the Malaysian Dental Council. ABSMIDS Mangalore is affiliated with the NITTE Deemed to be University. The institute is also an affiliate of Okayama University Dental School, Japan. AB Shetty Memorial Institute of Dental Sciences has been ranked 5th in India by NIRF Ranking 2023 in the Dental Category. ABSMIDS currently offers UG, PG, Fellowship, Ph.D, and Certificate Courses in the field of Dental Sciences.
